traffic turning left out of private lot has to turn 180* and does not have a clear line of sight due to trees, I have witnessed numerous close calls here with traffic speeding down the block from lancaster.

crosswalk does not correspond to actual pedestrian traffic flow, many many people cross further down by the firehouse rather than walking out of their way to use the crosswalk

The terrible intersection at Church Road and Lancaster Ave, along with the bridge here, has been mentioned a number of times. Perhaps part of the solution could involve the vacant car dealership building at the corner which also connects with the bridge. It has been empty for a couple years since Armen stopped using it and it pushes up against both the bridge and intersection.
For anyone entering Ardmore from the east, there’s a good chance they will stop at the light here and be welcomed not just by an overload of car dealerships, but by a disused one at that.

This area between Spring Ave and the south edge of the “downtown” while mostly residential, is home to a large number of smaller neighborhood businesses who would benefit greatly from more connection to the main corridor and immediate branches. These businesses are along Spring Ave from Greenfield to Linwood, and up both Ardmore Ave and cricket Ave. they are close in distance - and entirely walkable - but especially along Ardmore Ave, pedestrian travel can be dangerous and daunting. Is there a way to help connect those smaller business pockets to the larger commercial areas and facilitate safer pedestrian travel throughout the southern half of Ardmore?

The pad site which houses the Citizens Bank building is both an eyesore and a waste of space. Aside from the large broken sign and poorly maintained building/lot, this wold be a prime parcel for streetfront stores to match the character of those across Lancaster Ave. it would create more of a “welcome corridor” for downtown Ardmore that would be continued by the new Piazza development. Also, stores with lots of glazing facing Lancaster would help offset the adjacent Wild Fork building which has no windows facing the street. Perhaps assistance could be given to the owner of Ardmore West to redevelop that part of the center, including a solution for the parking nightmare in front of the Wawa

Plantable township HQ should be a location for best practices and native plants. Take out 100% of the non-native ornamental plants. Add in Switchgrass and so many other natives.

This bank branch has closed. Is there a way to use this site to alleviate the dangerous traffic and pedestrian situation along Woodside between Lancaster and Montgomery?

The entire Vernon Young Park/AACC/pool area is such a phenomenal resource for the community. It’s used everyday, year round, and from morning until night - not just by Ardmore residents. It’s a shining example of what the township has to offer to benefit the community, and it really deserves even greater funding for beautification and programs.
Specifically, it could use more mature trees along The Spring Ave side of the park - especially near the intersection with Greenfield Ave by the church - as traffic is often dense and aggressive in the stretch between Holland Ave and Ardmore Ave. I own a business there and observe the traffic throughout the day.

These properties are just outside the study area, they should be looked at for acquisition by LMT. With the propose new community center and pool area, these properties could provide a corridor to those facilities from the west, along with additional parking, green space, and recreation/park facilities. It would dramatically lighten the feel of a block that is currently very industrial but underused.

There are not enough trees on this stretch of ardmore ave particularly on the east side (even numbered) of the street. These properties have big front yards and no trees.

Its a stretch to call this a "park". The fountain hasn't worked for at least 2 years. The trees aren't properly cared for and the benches are awkwardly placed.

would be great to make station one way for cars travelling from montgomery toward lancaster, turning left onto station since left turns are prohibited at lancaster and anderson. Would improve the pedestrian experience and traffic flow

this block needs attention. The sidewalk is so wide here but the businesses (Nationwide, Kitchen Technologies) do nothing to care for their storefronts. There are weeds growing in the sidewalk and its generally just forgotten.

Vernon Young is included in the "focus area" on the LMT map and is labeled "Ardmore Ave Civic Corridor". Why is whole area excluded from the study area on the interactive map? This is a core area for Ardmore and should be integrated into plans

If the township cannot figure out how to work with businesses that want to move in and make properties better, including but not limited to outdoor seating, this town will never reach its full potential and will never attract the businesses that are needed to transform this side of the tracks into a thriving, walkable business district.

Amazing to see multiple requests to actually remove parking from town. It's almost as if they have forgotten the obscene about of $ and time wasted trying to block the one ardmore place project from happening because of "lack of parking in town" and yet we now have a parking garage that is drastically under-utilized - and yet no complaints about there not being any parking available... I suppose this is good news for the township to move forward and do the right things that will actually move the town forward, as the memory spans seem to be relatively short around here.

If the township is serious about making Ardmore more pedestrian friendly, I would encourage officials/staff to walk the sidewalks in Ardmore in pairs (side by side) and see how far they get before having to resort to single file line in order to pass all of the obstructions encountered.
