This would be a perfect place for a central small skatepark, as the Schaufele Plaza becomes a public gathering place. A skatepark could be a multi-purpose area that could be also used for events. Here are some examples:

This area I would like to see more pedestrian friendly - there is little to no lighting and the sidewalk is TINY. Would love to see a guardrail along the edge of the sidewalk to protect pedestrians, better lighting to improve safety and walk-ability.

This is kind of a 'dead zone' with little to no pedestrian traffic. I'd like to see better streetscaping, tree planting, etc. to promote more walkability between the Truist Bank/Township building to the Wynnewood Shopping Center Area.

Sidewalks are in serious disrepair and there are weeds - this is something that the owner should be taking care of even if they are going to knock it down later this year. We need better enforcement and maintenance and good faith with developers. It impedes walkability and looks terrible for people coming into our commercial district.

One of the most successful retail businesses in Ardmore is the consignment shop. There are several in and near Ardmore. We should learn from this and expand the concept by promotion Ardmore as "The Consignment Capitol of the Main Line". Use joint promotion for all the consignment shops and this will attract significant foot traffic and business to the area.

This intersection is a problem. People make illegal left turns in spite of the sign, and traffic backs up. Police should enforce the law here. Also, expand the width so people can make a right turn when people are waiting to make a left.

The little park on the corner is charming, but please get the fountain working in the warm months. It adds a nice feeling to the corner. The park benches are great!

Road Diet for Lancaster Ave to 3 lanes with center turn lane and bike lanes. PADOT needs to be convinced. It would improve safety, efficiency and doubtful that it would slow travel times all that much. It may also deter a portion of unneeded pass-through traffic going through Lower Merion.

Can the street lights along Lancaster in the historic district be replaced with something more historic / appropriate to the period of the commercial district's development?

Have always been confused by the use of this space. Many commercial vehicles unrelated to Bijou park here. The lot seems underutilized and is a bit of an eyesore.

The sidewalk abruptly stops on this side of the street here. We were told that the developer of the building on this corner would improve this for pedestrians and put in a sidewalk but we have not seen this to be the case.

Entering this strip mall parking lot from Lancaster is always a little scary as a pedestrian. There is no great place to walk to ensure peds are seen by cars also entering the lot.

Widening the sidewalks along Lancaster would make this area more pedestrian friendly and perhaps provide more shielding from traffic. Is having angled nose-in parking (as along Lancaster Ave in Wayne) another possibility here? Reducing Lancaster to one lane?

Peds will continue crossing at all sides of this intersection regardless of signage--especially since the septa station relocation--it's the quickest route for many. This whole intersection is unsafe and frustrating for everyone, drivers and peds alike and needs to be rethought and redesigned. A traffic light or a bridge/ramp as suggested by others should be considered.

Pedestrians move across this area many times during rush hour, while cars are trying to move. This should be a traffic light that is operational 7:00-9:30 AM, 4:00-7:00 PM Monday through Friday, then a yellow flashing light and red flashing light all other times to maintain pedestrian safety and better traffic flow

Ardmore has a lot going for it, but could stand to gain more character and personality. One easier way to do that is to encourage more public art in places like Schauffele Plaza and make it a bonus in remaining redevelopment opportunities like Ardmore West SC.

More visibility for pedestrian crossing, flashing lights etc.

Tear down the vacant bank and put in a pocket park with benches.

It's always wet under this bridge.

Horrible intersection there needs to be a traffic light here.

Billboard is an eyesore and draws attention to the not-so-pretty parts of the downtown. How can we get rid of this?

Businesses should post signage on their parking lots that cars don't sit there with their engine idling (noise, air quality, climate change).

This area could use a lot more trees and green to help with shade and flooding.

Rather than building another multi-use building (whose shops will remain empty like on Cricket and whose apartments are likely overpriced) on this corner, the parking lot could be turned into a small park with lots of trees and maybe a coffee or icecream cart in the summer - just a space to hang out for a bit.
