cyclists and drivers do not seem to understand the bike only light, I suggest a sign that explains it! at least on the ground for cyclists

This intersection is confusing. particularly turning right from high street onto higuera. Perhaps better signage could help

Biking down south Higuera I will sometimes cut peel off on bridge street however there is far too long a wait here to make it viable. a cross walk here or rapid flashing would be huge.

the bike sharrow signal is in the right hand turn lane however if you want to go straight here I am confused what to do. Normally I just squeeze between traffic going straight and turning right and its terrifying.

Drivers cannot see peds preparing to cross, and often are looking left to make a right turn on red. Additionally, the traffic signal is extremely hard to see as a driver, I did not even know there was a signal there until I walked through the intersection instead of drove.

Cars pass extremely fast and extremely closely. I've almost been sideswiped while biking both EB and WB on this overpass. The lines are very faded and contribute to cars coming over. Conflict striping at all intersections at this overpass would help a lot.

Drivers turning right onto LOVR cannot see pedestrians preparing to cross

Please put a crosswalk and horizontal flashing beacon to cross. There are business on each side of the road that cyclists and peds coming from either direction would love to access, but cannot due to high speed vehicles, not turn lane, etc.

There should be some kind of sidewalk or crossing here for pedestrians

I have witnessed several auto accidents, as well as had many close calls within the section of SR-46, between Theatre Dr and Ramada Dr. The intersection design itself is not conducive to Pedestrian and Bike traffic, as I have witnessed a cyclist get hit while attempting to pass through. The current design also inhibits traffic flows SR-46 EB as vehicles will often queue blocking the intersection of Theatre Dr and Vine St. This also backs up the 101SB exit for 46, as it takes several minutes for the light cycle to clear, due to the high amount of conflict points within this section.

Throughout this section of SLO 1 between Cambria and Esterro Bluffs/ North Cayucos. I have witnessed many near head-on misses with people attempting to pass slower traffic, in both permitted and non-permitted sections. There are no designated slow vehicle pull-off or passing lanes, in the area until Ocean Ave in cayucos.

My kids are not allowed to ride this stretch of LOVR on bike because it is too dangerous. Too many people are parked close to the road, leaving little space for bicyclists to get by. We need a safe bike lane from Monarch Grove to the shopping area.

Our resources are best spent in the area of bike lane safety. LOVR is a popular biking area, and our community should value the desire to get more exercise while being safe to ourselves and the environment. Prioritize making better, safer bike lanes along LOVR.

Students of the Cambria Grammar School are typically transported by car and bus because there are no safe areas to walk for that age group along this path with sufficient separation from vehicles. Although few children from grades 1-5 are expected to use this path with upgraded protection, there are adult pedestrians in the Cambria Community who should also have a safe walkway here. Caltrans has installed crosswalk buttons for this intersection, but there is no curb that sufficiently separates pedestrians from traffic for right hand turns going north onto Main Street or south from Ardath Drive. Implement a flat graveled surface about 4 ft. wide above the curb on Ardath Drive and 4 ft. of walkway space on Main Street to the Cambria Grammar School sidewalk.

Currently, vegetation encloses the walkway on the south side of Hwy. 1 during Spring of each year for about 2-3 months forcing people out into the street to stay out of the poison oak. Create a 5-6 ft. walkway along the curb line. Vegetation control might be best accomplished by making this a concrete walkway to control vegetation growing through the medium.

The north side of Hwy. 1 is a short section that drains into the existing grooved path during the rainy season which also causes pedestrians to move out into the street with traffic. The curbs are not useful for pedestrians although they provide direct drainage and keep cars off the path. Create a 5-6 ft. walkway along the curb line. A marked crosswalk is needed at the pedestrian crossing on Wilton Drive as well.

This section of Burton Drive has an established path and is fairly accessible for single pedestrians. However, it is difficult for mothers with children to use this path which cannot support anything with wheels. In addition, parked contractor vehicles are a problem since they force pedestrians out into traffic lanes and cause issues for the path level in rainy weather. The goal for this section of Burton Drive is for 2 people to be able to walk on the walkway together or pass each other safely.

This section of Burton Drive is located in the vicinity of the Cambria Pines Lodge which has substantial interest in implementing improvements to this walkway. Many students also use this walkway to travel to the local middle school and back home. Construct a paved walkway about 6-7 ft. wide from the white line along the pavement.

Provide a safe walking path from Burton Drive and Eton Road to Village Lane. This is the primary route for Santa Lucia Middle School students to walk to the East Village, is generally overgrown with weeds and is not a safe pedestrian pathway along this busy road. This is also an essential pedestrian pathway for a large swath of Cambria residents as well as visitors staying at the Cambria Pines Lodge.

Pave Rodeo Grounds Road from Burton Drive to the parking lot. Currently the road is very muddy during the rainy season due to the non-existent drainage from the steep
hills on the south side. During summer the road is responsible for raising dust near the commercial area
and future recreation activities. Engineered, proper drainage structures and paved surfaces for all modes would
solve both issues. Also, designated surfaced trails would help organize future multi-purpose traffic.Liked 0 times -
The sidewalk along Windsor Boulevard is developed to complement existing structure and Hwy. 1 positioning. This means that only one side of Windsor Boulevard is designated as a walkway. The current conditions of Windsor Boulevard sidewalks include uneven ground levels, prevalent potholes which hold water, and tripping hazards due to the curb. Level the existing pathway with packed gravel to a distance of 6 ft from the top edge of the existing curb.

On busy days, this street is used for parking since it is wide from Hwy 1 to the residential area. Install stripes for parking.

Because of the busy access at this intersection and speed of cars exiting onto Weymouth headed west, pedestrians are forced to the curbside and up into the wooded edge to walk safely. Using this path is especially difficult with wheeled carts. Install a 5 ft. pedestrian access path on the south side of Weymouth Street.

This is a frequent collission point of older folks, speeding vehicles including tourists into Montano De oro, and horses! We cross here into the preserve the ONLY area to ride in Los Osos.

There are not ramps on most of these sidewalks on the north side of the road (closest to High St) for ADA accessibility or strollers, etc.
