The parking lot at the end of Pier is both unsafe and intentionally left in poor condition . This is done to discourage both local community members and visitors from using the beach to encourage exclusive use for vehicles. The ingress and unsafe egress defies any logical planning. Carry Capacity Studies have never been conducted for Pier Avenue Temporary Entrance or for Vehicles using the Oceano Dunes.

Please close the Pier Avenue entrance to the Oceano Dunes SVRA, I believe the community and others deserve safe beach access that can create a new paradigm that can unlock redevelopment, promote more healthy communities, environmental protections, equal opportunity, environmental justice and reduce poverty levels.

At the west end of the corridor, between Sun Buggy and the State Parks parking lot, the sand is deep and cars get stuck there every day in late summer. State Parks says it isn't theirs, and Sun Buggy says it isn't theirs, either. It may actually be Strand Way. There should at least be a sign there warning people in cars not to drive on it.

Change Foothill intersection to a round-about. I know this is unpopular but I think this is one location where it makes sense. I don?t know if this is included in the planning territory though.

Like the two other comments near here on Pecho Valley Rd, a separate path for non-motorized traffic (bikers, walkers, and horses) would be great since the two lane road has drivers who zip around the turns and get too close to bikers. Comparable examples are the Rio Grande Trail in Aspen, CO and the Blue River Bikeway in Breckenridge, CO. IT could be fully paved, half paved, or totally decomposed gravel but the separation from the main road would increase safety and probably usage.

Bike/Pedestrian Separated -Protected pathways needed on both sides of road between Los Osos and SLO to increase safety for pedestrians, cyclists and expected increase in E-bike commuters. More E-bike commuters =less vehicle traffic

Public transportation needed running along LOVR directly to and from Slo shopping areas of Madonna, Target, Costco, Food 4 Less, DMV and Social Services. This would help reduce vehicle traffic and extended travel times to the area of city via current bus routes and transfers.

The signal needs to be updated. Need a left arrow from eastbound LOVR to 9th. And the arrow from westbound LOVR to Bayview Heights shouldn't come on unless there are cars waiting. This signal takes too long, especially annoying when there are no other cars at the intersection.

Is the State Parks compromise plan for closure of the dunes off road vehilcles allows beach camping from Pier Ave to Grand Ave, then Pier Ave and Grand Ave should both be open to camping vehicle access to the beach.

Some bicyclists come down from Montana de Oro at high rates of speed. They can be very difficult to see crouched down in dark clothing. Older drivers are cautions when turning onto Pecho Valley Road from Rodman and may not be out of the way when pulling out. The only viable solution is a bicyclist/pedestrian path separated from Pecho Valley Road for several hundred feet in each direction in conjunction with a carefully coordinated and marked cross walk for people and horses at Rodman Drive.

Sync up the lights! Turning left from 9th to LOVR eastbound always gives you about 2 seconds before the light turns red at 10th Street. Dangerous as drivers will gun it to try & make the light at 10th without making a part-time career of waiting for lights in Osos.

Red light westbound LOVR is on way too long. Traffic should flow more freely into town.

Adding more car lanes would be expensive and, moreover, ineffective due to the effect of induced demand

Instead of a bike lane right up alongside the road, would it be possible to have a few yards of separation? Physical distance from the main road makes me feel more comfortable biking with kids. Also, the force of the wind when cars speed by would be less of a problem too.

A protected bike lane would be better for local businesses and farms along LOVR as well. Who is more likely to pull over and stop for a sip of cider or basket of strawberries they see as they pass by -- a cyclist, or a driver going 60?

The bike lane is pretty narrow along this stretch, and has lots of loose rocks, several potholes, and other road debris like glass and metal. Repaving rough sections of the bike line and widening it is necessary. The installation of a concrete barrier separating the bike path would help this issue, as the road debris wouldn't get into the lane as easily and bike tires are less rough on the road than car tires. In the long term, it would require less maintenance and be safer for everyone

This is a fantastic opportunity to create a safe pedestrian path between Monarch Grove Elementary with the Library that is not a traditional sidewalk, perhaps a dg surface that can be used by bikes and peds

The in street blinking pedestrian light here is a dangerous way to cross. Most drivers do not feel obligated to stop, so typically only do so once the pedestrian makes a leap of faith. please provide a full stop light either here or at Fairchild (preferably not the ?proceed on flashing red? being trialed in SLO)

Lack of sidewalk continuity on this one property frontage requires pedestrians and bikes to step into the street. We need a continuous sidewalk in the commercial stretch

The lack of retaining wall and maintenance along this edge of the school property has effectively eliminated the sidewalk requiring pedestrians and bikes to walk in the street.
