THIS INTERSECTION SIGNALS ARE SET, IT DOESN'T MATTER IF THERE IS TRAFFIC IN THAT LANE OR NOT. THIS SIGNAL SHOULD ALSO BE INTERTIED WITH THE CITY SIGNALS. ALTHOUGH THE CITIES ARE NOT SEQUENCED OR INTERTIED. ON A SATURDAY I'VE WAITED 3 SIGNALS TO GO EAST. WEEKDAYS ARE WORSE, ESPECIALLY DURING RUSH HOUR TIMES, MAYBE UPGRADE THE CONTROLS ON THIS SIGNAL.

IN THIS AREA TRAFFIC SPEED LIMIT 55 ENDS, 45 STARTS, WB. ITS 45 EB TO JUST SHORT OF THE CEMETARY, THEN 55. PULLING OUT OF THE MANY DRIVEWAYS AND SIDE STREETS IS A CHALLENGE, WHETHER UR TURNING RIGHT OR LEFT. SOME DRIVEWAYS AND STREETS HAVE NO OR BLIND SIGHT DISTANCE. I THINK THE SPEED LIMIT SHOULD LOWERED TO AT LEAST 45 THRU THIS AREA FROM SOUTH BAY TO THE CEMETARY.

Traffic light at Foothill and LOVR is not synchronized for rush hour traffic. Traffic flow is very heavy late afternoon from SLO to Los Osos via LOVR. Traffic backs up all the way into SLO from this intersection due to not having a "smart" traffic light at this important intersection.

There is no safe way to walk to and from the Library/senior center or shopping downtown in this area.

Cars are able to park on the south side of LOVR road in this area. When cares are parked in this area it forces bikers to move out of the bike lane and into the flow of traffic.

I believe it is this property where the home virtually sits on LOVR. If an easement of some sort could be gained here LOVR could be widened to accommodate a multi-use pathway on this side of the street.

Pecho Road from Rodman to MDO is extremely narrow and dangerous for bikers attempting to ride into the park and virtually impossible for walkers/hikers to use the road (only park entry) to gain access to the trail network. There are oak trees that are growing into the roadway narrowing access even further.

Pecho Road has a multi-use path on the west side. This path dies out into a small eucalyptus grove just prior to the intersection with Rodman Drive. This forces path users to enter Pecho Road in a very unsafe spot. Suggest removal of the eucalyptus and extension of the multi-use path to Rodman.

The west side of Pecho Road has a multi-use walk/bikeway that ends shy of the interrsection with Rodman Road. This forces the walker/bikers to wind through the eucalytus trees and out to Pecho before attempting to cross Rodman Road to enter Cabrillo Estates. This crossing is extremely dangerous, as there is heavy traffic in this area (particularly on weekends) entering and exiting MDO State Park. Suggest a better crossing (lighted crosswalk?) to help users get safely across the street.

Some kind of biking trail that is parallel to but not on the road would be incredibly helpful for the safety of bikers.

need traffic slowing here

separated bike path on north side would eliminate crossing conflicts across LOVR

There was a death in the community due to this intersection and seasonal event - at least the landowner should be required to install temporary traffic control during events and pay for their impacts due to the commercial nature of this farm https://www.kcbx.org/community/2014-10-30/bicycle-community-saddened-by-fatal-crash-on-los-osos-valley-road

There was a death in the community because of this intersection and someone attending a seasonal event on their bike (https://www.kcbx.org/community/2014-10-30/bicycle-community-saddened-by-fatal-crash-on-los-osos-valley-road)

With E bikes it is easier than ever to commute and run errands or visit neighboring communities (with kids in tow) - this is done in many places all over the world - we are way behind here and a fully separated bikeway is the best solution to help the community - it would also be an incredible resource!

never had rush hour gridlock on this road in my 15+ years commuting along here - the road is overkill already for the traffic

4 lanes is unnecessary with the amount of traffic on this road - if anything the passing lanes make it worse because people feel the need to race to pass when it is really not needed - there is not much traffic on this road to justify a four lane highway and would be out of character for the rural area. It would be dangerous, increase speeds, and change the road classification to that of a freeway

Bike path on the north side of the road would solve intersection conflicts - use tunnels to go under roadway and connect path to laguna and downtown

Separate Bike path would be ideal - including a fantastic recreational amenity for the community! Good examples are the miles of rural bike paths in an area I currently work outside the town of Jackson WY where you can go from the Town to the Park via bike path - there are paths everywhere in this rural community and is a good model.

The vast majority of vehicles ignore this crosswalk as the coming speeding down the hill. This crosswalk really needs sensors and flashing likes especially given the proximity to Monarch Grove Elementary and the number of school children that cross here.

At Christmas and Halloween this is a MAJOR safety concern. The volume of westbound traffic turning left here can be staggering at times. In addition, east bound traffic is in a passing lane scenario with drivers aggressively trying to pass slower vehicles at high speeds. West bound cars often pass stopped cars that are waiting to turn left by illegally using the bike lane. During certain times of year this is not a safe place for cars not to mention cyclists. Dedicate turn pocket is a must.

Westbound: Normal traffic suns slow through the entire stretch to Los Osos, usually when one vehicle maintains 40-45 mph. It should be remembered that traffic can not move faster than the slowest vehicle. I have never seen CHP enforcement of CVC 22400 for impeding traffic. Another traffic planning principle is that slow traffic reduces system capacity; if people are moving near or at the limit, rush hour gridlock is reduced.

The area between Foothill and the Laguna area is a notorious bottle-neck afternoon through evening. It needs to be 4 lane, and a round-a-bout to replace the signaled intersection.

Paint "Max Speed Limit 55 mph" every couple of miles in both directions. Many people have no idea what the actual speed limit is on LOVR.

I think you should extend the turning lane from Clark valley road all the way down to Turri road .. you would prevent a ton of accidents from people turning and exiting their driveways
